Job Description

Leads and supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions, including projects, products, systems, shared infrastructure services and shared application services. Provides leadership, analysis and design tasks related to supporting the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads and supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions
  • Provides leadership, analysis and design tasks related to supporting the development of technology solutions
  • Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across specific business applications or technologies
  • Works closely with project/program management to ensure execution of plans correspond to specifications and requirements outlined throughout the project or product lifecycle
  • Defines principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Maintains current knowledge of the University’s architecture roadmaps, technology status of peer institutions and technology market landscape
  • Meets with key stakeholders and conducts research to understand business drivers and business capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Sciences or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Deep and broad technical skills for service design and delivery, including infrastructure and application components required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and facilitate discussions required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills required
  • Ability to design and implement a project schedule and knowledge of project management required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously required

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Experience in system development life cycle, business analysis, project management, systems integration, software development and/or the administration of service platforms, public/private cloud platforms, databases and networks preferred
  • Ability to recognize strategic business opportunities preferred
