As Sr. Science & Technology Advisor, you will be primarily responsible for accelerating the sales process and maximizing revenue for sales opportunities within Taiwan and Korea. Leveraging your scientific expertise and consultative skills, you will be a field technical expert and trusted scientific partner to customers in the region, whilst driving sales across the entire 10x portfolio to academic, government, private, industrial, biotech and biopharmaceutical accounts.
Job Responsibility:
Partner closely with the sales team to generate, qualify and close sales opportunities
Collaborate with product management, R&D, applications, marketing, field sales, and distributors to develop and execute territory strategy and go-to-market activities
Maintain accurate records and provide relevant information to support forecasting and business planning
Gather and communicate competitive intelligence and market feedback to internal stakeholders
Provide weekly, monthly and ad hoc business and activity reports as required
Conduct technical and promotional seminars, trade shows, vendor events and related activities
Achieve assigned territory sales goals through field visits, virtual meetings, email and phone engagement
Develop and execute account growth and market expansion plans in collaboration with the sales team
Provide mentorship, training and scientific education to colleagues, distributors and customers as appropriate
Participate in regional and global team initiatives
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in technical sales, marketing or field applications within life sciences
Track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a consultative role
Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations effectively to varied audiences
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
Proven ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 50% (including international travel and customer site visits)
Nice to have:
PhD in a relevant life sciences discipline
Experience in Single Cell, Spatial and/or Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Working knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent CRM platform)
Additional language skills (ideally Mandarin Chinese and/or Korean)
