The Reliability Specialist is responsible for providing technical guidance on operating units and equipment that maintains and improves the safety, environmental standards, overall reliability, and operating cost. The reliability specialist will demonstrate accountability for increasing equipment reliability by improving time between failures of industrial equipment while reducing equipment downtime and manufacturing costs. This role works collaboratively with the engineering functions as well as other departments to develop, implement and maintain standard mechanical and/or electrical processes incorporating industry best practices. The reliability specialist creates maintenance technical standards and standardized work practices in collaboration with subject matter experts. This role develops strategies to manage assets at peak performance, optimize lifetime return on investment, mitigate reliability risk, and supports capital improvements in support of long-term sustainable performance.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
2 year / Associate Degree (Required)

Active participant in Maintenance Strategy Process (participate in FMEA sessions, preventative maintenance task development, one-time task design development)
Assists in writing maintenance execution procedures
Collaborates to develop turnaround and unit shutdown planning and execution through participation in scope development, providing justification for work items, and providing technical support during shutdown/startup and outage timeframe
Leads implementation of changes in maintenance procedures
Develops equipment standards, procedures, documentation, and resolve issues with repeat equipment failures
Reviews and updates P & ID’s and electrical one-line diagrams
Lead Maintenance Technician-level trainer
Supervises newer reliability specialist work and onboarding
DKL - Participates in maintenance critical spare parts program
