Job Description:

Drive Quality focus into Service Centre Operations to ensure that quality issues/ deviations are highlighted, resolved to ensure defect free supply of products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Inspection of Fabricated, Cast/Forged, and Machined Supplier Parts at Receipt Inspection
  • Report quality deviations in database and communicate to suppliers for corrective actions
  • Resolve supplier quality issues on shop floor and ensure corrective actions implemented
  • Conduct product and process quality audits at supplier locations
  • Establish inspection protocols for new service offerings
  • Ensure timely calibration of gauges and instruments
  • Support suppliers in process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain ISO 9001 QMS documentation
  • Perform preliminary and final inspections using applicable gauges
  • Conduct Dye Penetrant (DP) testing including post-cleaning
  • Carry out hydrostatic tests and welding inspections of conveyors
  • Perform dimensional inspections of conveyors
  • Handle gauges independently and verify conveyor balancing reports
  • Conduct in-process inspections of conveyors
  • Store conveyors appropriately and update quality records
  • Inspect bowl parts and assemblies using conventional gauges
  • Perform visual inspections of parts
  • Conduct in-process inspections of parts on manufacturing machines
  • Assist machining operators in setting gauges
  • Store and update inspection records
  • Perform final inspections of decanters, HSS, and PHE after testing
  • Record bowl heat numbers, create specification sheets, conduct inspections, collect all relevant reports
  • Inspect loose supply and spare items for decanters, HSS, and PHE
  • Maintain traceability records for major decanter items
  • Verify all test reports (FAT, balancing, noise, leak test)
  • Prepare documentation for customer inspection as per standard QAP
  • Send relevant test documents to customers
  • Attend customer inspections
  • Maintain final QA documentation
  • Ensure calibration of gauges from assembly
  • Record quality deviations in deviation database
  • Ensure corrective actions for deviations
  • Communicate within team regarding issues
  • Participate in PRP, raise quality cards on CSB
  • Update monthly quality records and deviation database
  • Maintain quality documentation for related area
  • Investigate customer claims, perform RCA, implement corrective actions
  • Initiate KAIZENs for QA improvements
  • Drive Quality focus into Service Centre Operations
  • Act as owner of Service Centre Operations Quality Improvements and drive problem resolutions of Quality issues
  • Ensure corrective actions on deviations at each repair stages

Requirements:

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in quality control department from engineering industries, Automotive organizations
  • Knowledge of welding as well as machining processes
  • Analyze process deviations/ root cause analysis and solutions
  • Basic understanding of gauge calibration, MSA, FMEA etc.
  • Implement 5 S in related QA area
  • Maintaining inspection documents for Customers
  • Daily tracking of quality issues/deviations and highlight in meeting, ensure corrective actions
  • Zero inspection errors/inaccuracy during inspection
  • Drive small projects for process improvements
  • Control of quality, deviations and line stops
  • Ensure internal/external customer satisfaction regarding inspection processes
  • Resolve Quality issues & communicate accordingly
  • Work in line with defined HSE practices
  • Travel to all service centers, customer sites and supplier sites as required
  • Communication & Interpersonal skill (English, Marathi, Hindi)
  • Computer knowledge (MS office)
