Coordinate the activities of a group of inspectors responsible for verifying that products meet pre-established quality standards; ensure that inspections are carried out using appropriate instruments and in accordance with established procedures. The work is technical in nature and involves decision-making within the limits of general procedures and specifications. Guidance is received from the supervisor in unusual situations. Perform the work with diligence, quality, and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the activities of a group of inspectors responsible for verifying that products meet pre-established quality standards
Ensure that inspections are carried out using appropriate instruments and in accordance with established procedures
Develop quality plans for the department and the product
Monitor quality standards
Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and identify processes that are out of control
Process deviations, document them, follow up accordingly, and verify that engineering changes do not affect product quality
Establish sampling plans
Evaluate product quality during pilot runs
Maintain records of corrective actions and ensure proper follow-up
Respond to customer complaints and quality issues
Monitor supplier quality
Submit required information, parts, and studies for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) approval
Keep the quality station and/or electronic records organized and up to date in accordance with Quality Records procedures
Manage and control master samples
Develop, maintain, and execute quality plans
Compliance with and support for the PPAP process – Conduct capability studies, support PPAP runs, and assist the PPAP Coordinator as required
Layered audits – Conduct a weekly layered audit using the available quality checklist. Follow up on identified areas of opportunity
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field) preferred
+5 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading or coordinating quality inspectors or quality teams
Hands-on experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions and documentation
Experience conducting capability studies and supporting pilot runs
Experience handling customer complaints and corrective action processes (8D, root cause analysis)
Experience developing and executing quality plans
Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality standards (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 preferred)
Leadership and coordination skills
Effective communication skills (internal teams, suppliers, and customers)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
English fluent is a must
