An established organization with a multi‑asset footprint is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to support financial activity across a portfolio of income‑producing assets. This position offers broad ownership over recurring financial processes, exposure to both operational and compliance considerations, and the opportunity to improve how information flows across teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a primary accounting partner to operational leadership, maintaining awareness of asset activity and potential financial impacts
  • Validate monthly financial outputs by analyzing account activity, researching discrepancies, and ensuring internal alignment across records
  • Translate property‑level activity into accurate centralized records through thoughtful review and reconciliation
  • Prepare and review recurring and event‑driven financial entries tied to periodic close cycles
  • Perform detailed cash, balance sheet, and cross‑entity reconciliations to support financial integrity
  • Support forward‑looking financial exercises by analyzing changes, trends, and outcomes versus expectations
  • Oversee the lifecycle of long‑term assets, from acquisition through retirement, ensuring consistency with internal policy and reporting standards
  • Review spend tied to long‑term investments to confirm proper treatment and approval
  • Participate in recurring reporting accuracy reviews and internal documentation efforts
  • Serve as a point of contact for external accounting partners during periodic reviews and compliance activities

Requirements

  • Several years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to real estate‑related financial activity
  • Comfort owning recurring close responsibilities and researching variances independently
  • Strong working knowledge of account structure, cash activity, and internal balancing across entities
  • Experience supporting planning exercises and explaining financial movement clearly
  • Familiarity with internal control concepts and compliance documentation
  • A process‑minded approach with the ability to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Clear communicator who collaborates comfortably across functions and with outside partners
