Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Property Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, excels in managing financial records, ensures accuracy, and meets deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and a proven ability to handle complex reconciliations and reporting tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and oversee month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, including posting and reconciling transactions
  • Create and review journal entries to support financial reporting and compliance
  • Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and statements
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities
  • Generate detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in month-end closing processes and financial reporting
  • Strong expertise in managing general ledger accounts and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries with accuracy

  • Advanced knowledge of bank reconciliations and related tools
