The Sr Program Manager, Technical contributes to T-Mobile success by delivering and implementing large or complex technical programs, processes and projects to improve profitability, reduce costs, streamline operations, or enhance service to the business or customers. This position provides senior level of support to the business group by describing the business' current state, defining the business' ideal future state, recommending initiatives to achieve this ideal future state, monitoring the progress of related initiatives, and evaluating how successful these initiatives are at achieving their expected goals within the program. This role is responsible for leading a team in the development, management and release of integrated product and services roadmaps. This role focuses on optimizing our release processes, partnering with key engineering and technical partners to ensure stable deployments, risk identification, and risk mitigation to support the go to market plan, performance, driving revenue growth, and achieving profitability objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Develops program roadmaps, initiative project plans and schedules, and provides budget oversight for the business group on the program(s)
Facilitates the creation of the program charter
Develops and implements process controls ensuring department compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
Creates and manages program teams supplying statistical and status reporting on completed programs to stakeholders
Delegates program responsibilities and tasks, and interfaces, directs, motivates and manages program work and resources
Brings changes and suggestions from each program and sub-program to help improve and develop best practices
Release Management: Overseeing the entire release lifecycle
Technical Rigor and Discipline: Ensuring rigorous application of technical knowledge to manage products and services through their release lifecycle
Serves as technical owner (accountable IT representative) and is responsible for technical stewardship of T-Mobile’s Web and Engineering releases
Leads the release delivery of large and complex technology solutions by providing leadership in analysis, design, and project and product management
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4-7 years - Experience in organizational programs, project management or related area
4-7 years - Experience working closely with Engineering, Design, and Product teams to drive iterative delivery of cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch
