The Sr. Product Designer will be responsible for creating sketches, wireframes, design specifications, graphics, and digital illustrations in a variety of styles. Will partner with other designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams – including product management and technology – to take work from ideation to reality. This unique position requires a creative, talented, and motivated individual eager to learn, contribute and grow their skills. To successfully execute this role, the candidate must have a proficiency in a range of skills, with an emphasis on digital illustration and product design. Advanced skills in drawing, vector, digital painting, layout, composition, and color are essential. Must be extremely efficient in art programs and able to deliver high quality work consistently. Must be able to apply rigorous design thinking as we develop products at the crossroads of the physical and digital worlds. Must be an inclusive designer, who can critically and authentically represent guest and project needs. Takes creative direction well, can articulate and understands the design goals of the project. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is a must. Encouraged to broaden core skill set and share best practices and ideas for production innovation.
Job Responsibility:
Create sketches, wireframes, digital illustrations, paintings and graphics
Collaborate with various departments and teams to understand scope and project needs
Expand and continue the established visual style of our existing products to meet industry standards
Reflect our evolving design patterns and contribute to further progressing our standards of excellence
Pitch and present visual exploration to managers, principals, and executive leadership
Export and deliver production quality assets
Participate in visual critiques and brainstorms
Partner with other designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams – including product management and technology – to take work from ideation to reality
Participate in brainstorms, project kickoffs and design critiques
Work closely with the team’s Principle and Lead Designer to create various content for app and web experiences
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of professional design experience, working on branded campaigns, commerce, hospitality, or entertainment experiences
Experience creating products from a user-first design approach
A strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects, illustrations, and visual storytelling in a variety of styles
Solid understanding of art and visual design principles and techniques regarding 2D, layout, color theory, and animation
Art degree or equivalent work experience
Exceptional artistic and creative problem-solving skills
Excels in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner
