We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Engineer to lead and contribute to the process design and optimization of our manufacturing operations. This role will involve applying advanced engineering principles to develop innovative and sustainable process solutions for our diverse product portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and execute complex process design projects from conceptualization through to implementation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and timeline objectives
Conduct detailed process simulations, modeling, and analysis to optimize existing processes and design new ones, focusing on efficiency, yield, and sustainability
Develop and implement process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other relevant engineering documentation
Evaluate new technologies and raw materials for potential integration into existing and new manufacturing processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution and operational excellence
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Identify and implement opportunities for process intensification, waste reduction, and energy optimization
Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions
Ensure all process designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal HUL policies
Prepare and present technical reports, project proposals, and progress updates to stakeholders at various levels
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in process design, optimization, and project execution within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), chemical, or related process industry
Proven expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus, PRO/II, SuperPro Designer)
Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer
Demonstrated experience in developing PFDs, P&IDs, and other engineering deliverables
Experience with scale-up from laboratory/pilot to commercial production
Knowledge of industry best practices for process safety management (PSM) and environmental regulations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
A Master's degree is preferred
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is a plus
