Provide operational support to outsourced third-party payroll processor to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. Act as relationship manager to their cross-functional teams including Payroll Services, Customer Service, Tax Filing, Garnishment, and Overpayment Shared Services. Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment while meeting all deadlines with weekly payrolls processing for 20,000 exempt, non-exempt and contingent labor workers.
Job Responsibility:
Provide operational support to outsourced third-party payroll processor to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees
Act as relationship manager to their cross-functional teams including Payroll Services, Customer Service, Tax Filing, Garnishment, and Overpayment Shared Services
Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment while meeting all deadlines with weekly payrolls processing for 20,000 exempt, non-exempt and contingent labor workers
Analyzes, audits, validates, and prepares control totals from the timekeeping solution for payroll processing in accordance with the payroll schedule
Run standard reports to identify exception time situations
Prepare and upload necessary pay components to support weekly, biweekly and/or monthly processing
Escalates complex timekeeping & attendance issues and follows through to resolution, ensuring appropriate communication to all involved parties
Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the shared Payroll inbox and partner ticketing management system
Generates and distributes standard and ad hoc payroll reports as needed for internal finance and operational departments to track labor costs
Develops close working relationships with internal partners such as the Finance & Accounting teams, Benefits, IT, etc. to quickly resolve issues and handle special requests
Assist in audits related to payroll and timekeeping processing and provide necessary documentation
Requirements:
2+ years of payroll experience demonstrates a strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience WorkDay Time Tracking, Absence & Payroll. Workday Certified – preferred but not required
Demonstrate strong customer services skills
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
Displays a customer focused work ethic with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Creative problem-solving skills, and the capacity to complete tasks on time
Assist in audits related to payroll and timekeeping processing and provide necessary documentation
