We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Payroll Accountant to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. Job Responsibility

  • Execute month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations for payroll, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounts
  • Create and post journal entries with proper documentation to support financial reporting accuracy
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements, identifying and reporting significant variances or trends
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US standards
  • Perform reconciliations for intercompany transactions, maintaining proper documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional accounting teams to ensure comprehensive financial reporting
  • Support audits by working closely with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation
  • Handle payroll-related reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure data accuracy
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed, contributing to continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliation, and related journal entries
  • Familiarity with US accounting standards and a willingness to research and resolve accounting issues
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage deadlines effectively
