A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department to assist in designing and implementing creative, simple solutions to address complex challenges.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively manage cases for employment-related lawsuits, charges, and claims, including coordinating with in-house and outside counsel, conducting initial fact gathering, implementing, and maintaining litigation holds, identifying and gathering responsive documents and information, scheduling and participating in witness interviews, reviewing discovery, pleadings, and other case documentation
Support cross-functional projects as an employment law/compliance resource
Support the employment law team’s e-Discovery processes and systems
Creatively work to improve processes within the employment law team
Requirements:
Minimum of 4-7 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law
2-year college degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience
E-Discovery certification from an accredited agency such as ACEDS is a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Experience with: MS Office Suite as well as knowledge of HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems (Workday)
Knowledge of legal matter management and document management systems such as Collaborati and iManage
Ability to effectively interface with various groups within the legal department and across the company
Knowledge and experience with E-discovery, including preservation, collection, processing, analysis, and production
Top-tier writing skills, with a focus on efficiently drafting requests for obscure information
Strong project management skills
Strong collaboration skills with team members, HR, business leaders, and other clients
Ability to operate independently and effectively despite ambiguity and rapid change
Creativity and curiosity
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Nice to have:
E-Discovery certification from an accredited agency such as ACEDS is a plus
