Our client, a Leading data and network security company is in need of a Sr Oracle DBA. The Sr Oracle DBA will work onsite, in Huntsville, Alabama. The candidate will be responsible for independently managing, troubleshooting and resolving a variety of database issues within medium-to-large-scale Oracle databases. They will be required to have daily communication with customers and internal management, providing detailed activity summaries and in-depth trip reports where applicable.

Requirements:
Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Experience supporting RHEL 8.x environments hosting Oracle 19c databases in physical and virtualized infrastructures
Strong experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle 19c CDB/PDB architectures
Hands-on administration of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata environments in multi-node, high-availability deployments
Experience configuring and managing Data Guard (Physical, Logical, Snapshot Standby) including Data Guard Broker / DGMGRL
Perform RAC and Data Guard switchover and failover procedures ensuring minimal downtime
Configure and manage ASM storage across RAC and Exadata environments
Utilize RMAN for backup, restore, and recovery across primary and standby databases
validate recovery operations
Monitor and optimize database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and native tools
Perform Oracle 19c and RHEL patching, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance
Troubleshoot performance, replication, storage, and interconnect issues in RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata environments
Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies across clustered database deployments
Collaborate with network and storage teams to support RAC, Exadata, and Data Guard infrastructure requirements
Apply security controls and remediate vulnerabilities based on STIG guidance and scan results
Providing on-demand support for database-related issues and address issues or bugs discovered in products running at a customer location
Work directly with onsite government, contractor, and subcontractor teams as first-line database support
Install and maintain server hardware, firmware updates (Dell EMC, HPE), and assist with racking/cabling when required
