The Boeing Customer Facilities and Infrastructure Group in Hazelwood MO or at our St. Louis facility is currently looking for a Facilities Plant Engineer with a current TS/SCI DOD clearance (or has held one in the past 24 months). This department is comprised of Architects, Construction Engineers, Graphic Designers and Veterans. As a Team of professionals working together they develop facility requirements for Construction, Construction oversite of Construction projects, Facility selloff at construction completion and site activation of customer’s facilities. As a team member you will support the infrastructure requirements development for Boeing’s products delivered to the customer and new construction projects for non-Boeing Facilities.
Job Responsibility:
Reviews architectural designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Integrates the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants and government agencies
Reviews civil/structural designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Communicates problems and issues to others for resolution
Develops conceptual analysis to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods
Facilitates the implementation of moderately complex improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability
to specify configuration of new assets in order to support reliability programs
Develops conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for the electrical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
Reviews electrical designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Reviews mechanical designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Ensures accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines
Identifies errors and documents construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention requirements
Manages or supports construction projects by providing input on vendor selection
reviews contractor proposals
interfaces with government/regulatory agencies
monitors project progress and vendor/consultant performance
Produces or procures detailed design documents
Coordinates designs
Reviews and approves documents
Translates customer requirements into design options with documents and estimates
Identifies appropriate materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodology
Provides input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning

Requirements:
5+ years industry experience to include experience in the job duties mentioned above
Experience communicating both written and verbal, with public speaking and frequent interactions with senior-level management
Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance or have held one within the past 24 months
Nice to have:
Degree in Architecture or Engineering (equivalent industry experience considered)
9+ years of Industry Experience to include experience in the mentioned job duties
Experience with current drawing preparation software (i.e CAD, RIVIT)
Experience with project management software (including scheduling)
Experience working with military requirements
