Job Role and Responsibility: AMD Design LLC, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Network Engineer to Design and implement computer and information networks. Drive technical problem resolution of reported incidents and handle escalations. Configure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the global network infrastructure that supports in-house network access and safeguard company resources via developing and testing security protocols. Deploy new networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) and assist Global AMD Network Engineering/Architecture team with improving/evolving the designs to meet new requirements. Work with Global AMD Network Engineering/Architecture Team and other IT teams to complete approved project activities. Follow established Incident, Change and Problem management processes in order to meet agreed upon SLA’s and propose improvements that can improve resolution time. Understand networking best practices and apply them for both new requests and incidents, using automation wherever possible. Execute network hardware and software upgrades across the globe to make sure that the network is up-to-date while minimizing network interruptions. Perform regular network failover testing to validate network redundancy is configured correctly and operational.

Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering or network administrator role
Network engineering including routing, switching, firewall technologies, system design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex network systems
Performing configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols
Configuring and ensuring security protection for internal and external networks
Implementing network security protocols
High performance data center switches
Configuring and maintaining networking equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless LAN controllers
Troubleshooting network issues related to WAN, LAN, and WLAN
