Job Description:

Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter Communications, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform for the entire entertainment industry. The company consists of three primary lines of business: Xumo devices, Xumo Play, and Xumo Enterprise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
  • Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications
  • Trains junior Software Development Engineers
  • Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements
  • Keeps current with technological developments within the industry
  • Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques
  • Assists in tracking and evaluating performance metrics
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements
  • Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Professional experience working in a large-scale enterprise system
  • Experience with Web Technologies such as JavaScript ES6+, React Native, Node.js
  • Extensive mobile development experience
  • Experience with Video technologies such HLS, MP4, Mpeg-Dash is a plus
  • Experience with Video content protection technologies such as Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 Years Relevant Work Experience
