Job Description

As a Sr. Microsoft CE Functional Solution Architect you can expect to conduct discovery, design solutions, provide thought leadership, and oversee implementations for enterprise clients using Microsoft D365 CE and related technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct Discovery with the client or prospect to understand business requirements and create high level design
  • Demonstrate D365 CE solution capabilities to the client
  • Provide thought leadership in both system integration as well as application development and promote best practices in these areas
  • Utilize your deep expertise in Microsoft Business Applications, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture to design and oversee the implementation of solutions tailored to client needs
  • Conduct business process analysis and create Fit/Gap report
  • Ensure project team understands entire functional architecture of the project and adheres to the proper execution of the plan and design
  • Work closely with enterprise clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that drive business transformation and measurable ROI
  • Provide oversight during the project lifecycle, addressing challenges and ensuring adherence to the architecture, and finalizing and approving functional specifications and deployment plans
  • Focus on delivering high-quality solutions, ensuring technical excellence in client engagements, acting as escalation point during and after a project as needed
  • Provide expertise to advanced functional questions and issues
  • Offer proper guidelines for D365 standards
  • Advise on complex D365 CE business cases and propose comprehensive solutions
  • Assist presales teams to prepare proposals, client presentations and support the sale of professional services when necessary
  • Identify creative workarounds to meet requirements without the development of custom code
  • Use proven methodologies to deliver successful projects, including industry best practices

Requirements

  • BA/BS required in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS or related field
  • 5+ years of solution architect experience working with recent versions of D365 CE
  • 12+ years of experience including expertise in D365 implementations as well as application deployment and/or distributed system implementation
  • Hands-on experience with multi-phase, enterprise-wide D365 CE implementation
  • Deep know-how and proved record of applying D365 CE in one or more industries
  • Ability to envision, architect, and evangelize D365 CE solutions with clients
  • Understanding of the capabilities and limitations for out of the box functionality as well as custom code
  • Proven experience with estimating, scoping, and writing effective SOW’s that set expectations and limit risk
  • Strong experience conducting reviews of solution designs and customizations to ensure quality and compliance, acting as a solution advisor to the project during design/development, testing and deployment phases
  • Ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks
  • Ability to move between high level architectural review/design and the "roll up the sleeves" level of performing all phases of a D365 CE delivery project
