Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Component/Assembly Design Ownership)

• Supporting the design, analysis, component specification, integration and commissioning of facilities required for 21st century energetic material and Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing
• Joining a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of requirement verifications, upgrade and anomaly resolution, design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware and control sub-systems related to a disruptive new method for propellant production
• Identifying blockers, guiding processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, verifying requirements are satisfied and delivering on the agreed upon master schedule while adhering to environmental and safety best practices

• Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of components/assemblies essential to energetic materials and/or chemical processing facilities
• Demonstrated experience with common manufacturing and fabrication techniques
• Experience scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, etc.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with Data/Automation/Controls engineers
• 5+ years' experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers
• Analysis skills from notebook level to advanced simulation capturing stress, fluid flow, thermal and/or electrical power
• Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands-on assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude
• Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
