Job Description:

Responsible for building and delivering email communications using full functionality of digital automation platforms to support Sales and Marketing teams and help them achieve business goals. Operate with a high degree of independence in managing the day-to-day deployment of email marketing journeys, including but not limited to programming, audience segmentation, testing, and scheduling. Responsible for adhering to all email best practices and guidelines, ensuring all journeys are delivered on time, meeting quality standards, and streamlining processes for managing the Marketing email calendar while working alongside colleagues in building team culture. Must demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills by proactively identifying potential logic gaps in automated workflows and recommending strategic optimizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build, test, and deploy email journeys to nurture leads, drive sales, support owner initiatives, and increase customer engagement
  • Manage email journeys across the marketing calendar for Marketing
  • Execute A/B testing strategies to improve engagement and performance
  • Monitor journey performance on an ongoing basis
  • Configure and set-up data extensions, and maintain data extensions on an ongoing basis
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) on all deployments (links, rendering, tracking, company-specific) and ensure strict adherence to global privacy regulations like CAN-SPAM
  • Maintain Marketing Automation platform standards (troubleshooting, naming conventions, list management)
  • Build emails and templates using HTML/CSS and dynamic content with AMPscript
  • Troubleshoot and resolve email/journey issues
  • Ensuring all journeys are delivered on time, meeting high-quality standards
  • Establish audience benchmarks and monitor variances
  • Analyze email and journey performance to proactively make recommendations on enhancements based on performance and data-driven insights
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Adhere to digital design standards and ensure compliance with email best practices
  • Provide guidance on audience strategy and personalization opportunities
  • Support adoption through documentation, training, and consultation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, or another relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years' email marketing experience (multi-step/automated journey build, behavioral segmentation, data extensions/data hygiene, HTML/CSS for email design, email rendering, dynamic content insertion/personalization rules, audience targeting logic, UAT testing, deliverability checks)
  • Minimum 3 years' of Marketing Automation experience (i.e. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Litmus, etc.)
  • Experience with online strategy, content development, and usability experience
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Litmus, and supporting languages (HTML/CSS and AMPscript)
  • Highly detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in journeys, pre-checks, and post-checks
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of data, data extensions, data relationships, and ability to translate customer requirements to the use of their data throughout their marketing automation ecosystem
  • Ability to own and manage business system requirements for projects and adept in process mapping user stories
