Support the performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment that helps deliver high-quality products to patients who need them most.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and automated issues on manufacturing lines using SOPs, technical manuals, and collaboration with engineers
Partner with engineers to implement preventative maintenance strategies and contribute to equipment upgrades and process improvements
Consistently follow and enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a compliant and safe work environment
Maintain precise and timely documentation of maintenance activities, validations, and repairs in both written and digital formats (e.g., EBR, MAXIMO)
Act as a technical resource by sharing expertise, training junior mechanics, and fostering a collaborative learning environment
Track key performance indicators (e.g., OEE), analyze data trends, and apply root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys) to drive operational excellence
Collaborate with engineers, automation teams, and equipment vendors during installations, validations, and troubleshooting efforts
Provide detailed line status updates during shift changeovers and ensure seamless handoffs of ongoing issues or maintenance tasks
Create, review, and prioritize work orders using systems like MAXIMO and Smartsheet, aligning with production schedules and business impact
Take ownership of assigned equipment, follow through on commitments, and proactively seek clarity or support when needed to ensure task completion
Requirements:
High school/GED and 2 years of manufacturing, maintenance and/or military experience
Associate's degree and 6 months of manufacturing, maintenance and/or military experience
4 years of manufacturing, maintenance and/or military experience
Degree or certification in Electronic Engineering, Electric Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Mechanics
Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech manufacturing
Familiarity with packaging or process equipment maintenance
Previous experience as a Mechanic Operator
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Ability to work non-standard shifts
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Spanish & English preferred
