Job Description:

The Sr Mgr, Workforce Excellence is responsible for partnering with the RVP, Production Center and Venues and peers to execute a defined hiring, training and scheduling approach that supports Encore’s growth plan and desired financial results. This position will own the strategic deployment approach within the specified market(s), focusing on quality, consistency, best practice implementation and team member deployment across Encore’s venue and event staffing. Additionally, this position will work with assigned Regional Workforce Managers to drive a consistent approach to hiring, training and scheduling, focusing on optimizing the customer experience and establishing core standard processes and expectations for our labor schedulers and field teams. Reporting to RVP, Production Center and Venues, the primary responsibility in this role will be to execute an effective hiring, training, scheduling and reporting culture at Encore to advance the organization’s strategic objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement regional hiring, onboarding and training practices and initiatives consistent with recruiting, HR and Global Learning guidance and LEAP (Location Effectiveness and Productivity model) scheduling process deployment
  • Manage staffing to support the growth of the business and accomplish the organizational goals
  • Assemble market plans to lower cost, improving service standards, reviewing staffing levels, skill sets, and pay rates
  • Develop labor pool solutions that balance technical and service skills while minimizing costs
  • LEAP staffing guideline adherence (in partnership with HR)
  • Implement process/continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies designed to drive labor efficiencies and cost performance
  • Service and safety standards at or above Encore expectations
  • Monitor sales pipeline to ensure event demand planning and execution is supported by workforce
  • Execute organization structure that results in effective delivery of services to the entire organization
  • Provide focused and continued coaching to develop the skills of all direct reports
  • Partner with HR business partners to manage human resources activity, including selection, performance management, salary administration, training and development and strategic human resources planning
  • Partner with leadership to address key areas of labor analysis opportunities and implement action plans to address those areas
  • Develop workforce recommendations based on KPI trends and insights
  • Present and implement recommendations as appropriate
  • Recommend system enhancements, provide system training and identify areas for improved system usage for regions within assigned areas, in close partnership with operations leadership
  • Develop and implement an approach to standardize and improve reporting, KPIs and other deliverable information to the field to improve all aspects of labor management and performance measurement so that better recommendations and decisions can be made
