The Sr. Manager, Programmatic Strategy leads a team of Programmatic Strategists and Sales Planners responsible for translating advertiser objectives into high-impact programmatic strategies and actionable media plans that drive revenue growth. This role combines hands-on strategic leadership with team management, ensuring that both pre-sales planning and in-flight strategy are tightly aligned to deliver measurable outcomes for agency and holding company partners. Acting as a senior strategic advisor, this role partners closely across commercial, client-facing, and technical teams to position Buyer Cloud as a critical driver of campaign performance and business results.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and develop a team of Programmatic Strategists and Sales Planners, setting clear expectations around strategic rigor, client impact, and revenue contribution
  • Coach team members to translate data into compelling narratives, strengthen executive presence, and influence client decision-making
  • Establish and uphold consistent standards for strategic recommendations, planning outputs, and client-facing deliverables
  • Oversee the development of programmatic strategies and media plans across RFPs, proposals, and proactive opportunities
  • Ensure alignment across Sales Planning, Programmatic Strategy, and execution teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end client experience
  • Provide senior-level input into high-value proposals, pitches, and client presentations
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor and escalation point for key agency and holding company partners, guiding strategies that influence budget allocation, channel mix, and campaign scaling

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or digital media strategy
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring teams in client-facing, strategic roles
  • Strong background in both programmatic planning and campaign strategy/optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence client investment decisions and drive revenue growth
  • Deep understanding of DSP capabilities, supply landscape, audience strategy, and measurement approaches
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and narratives
  • Comfortable operating cross-functionally and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis using AI-enabled tools and scalable workflows
