The Sr. Manager, Product Portfolio Delivery (Syringe) is accountable for end-to-end delivery of the ADL Syringe portfolio, including technology transfer (TT) and lifecycle management (LCM) initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director, Process Development (Portfolio Management & Delivery), this role leads and develops a team of Product Leads and Project Managers, and drives consistent execution through robust governance, resourcing, risk management, and performance reporting. The role partners closely with site SMEs and leaders, and with global functions to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable product introduction and ongoing product health.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Leads and Project Managers
Own hiring, onboarding, and training plans for new team members
Provide active coaching to Project Managers on change control initiation, integrated project planning, and stakeholder management
Own consistent project delivery ways-of-working across Syringe TT and LCM projects
Utilize existing governance structures for projects and the portfolio
Assign Product Leads and Project Managers to projects using resource plans and portfolio priorities
Ensure project baselines, key decisions, vulnerabilities, gaps, and opportunities are proactively managed
Ensure project metrics are accurate, current, and routinely communicated
Maintain the site Syringe Product Team roster
Ensure the Product Delivery Team strategy and approved baselines are understood and executed consistently
Partner with Product Portfolio Strategy and key stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements
Ensure all activities are executed in alignment with cGMP, EHS, quality system requirements, and applicable business/financial controls
Promote a culture of personal accountability and “right first time” execution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required
Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Significant experience in biopharma/pharma within a cGMP environment (8+ years)
Direct leadership experience in manufacturing/technical operations and cross-functional portfolio delivery (2+ years)
Proven ability to identify portfolio and project risks/gaps and implement pragmatic mitigation and remediation plans
Track record of translating goals and strategy into measurable, resourced delivery plans with clear governance and accountability
Strong process and manufacturing execution background
Strong, trust-based leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels
Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and the interfaces between development, technical operations, manufacturing, validation, quality, and regulatory processes
