Job Description

We're looking for a senior, analytically-driven leader to own our Pricing & Promotions function. This is a player-coach role: you'll be hands-on with the work, manage and develop one direct report, and operate with significant autonomy and direct visibility to senior leadership. You'll own our pricing/promotions experimentation program end-to-end, lead promotional strategy and performance analysis, and build out our discount budgeting capability. You'll also create and optimize a cross-functional pricing strategy, bringing a more coherent and intentional approach to how we price and discount across ecommerce, retail, and emerging channels.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the end-to-end pricing/promotions testing roadmap — prioritize the backlog, design tests, set stakeholder expectations, analyze test results and drive rollout decisions
  • Set the promotional strategy, calendar and prioritization
  • partner with your direct report on execution
  • Develop new promotional structures and ideas grounded in performance data and competitive intelligence
  • Synthesize competitor analysis to inform our positioning and calendar
  • Own stakeholder communication on promotions and test expectations across the business
  • Partner with finance and analytics teams to understand how promotional strategy impacts business performance, and make data-driven adjustments to achieve goals
  • Partner with acquisition team to identify opportunities to personalize promotions across channels in order to improve media performance
  • Be a leader in the adoption of AI-driven approaches for personalized promotions, leveraging models to optimize conversion rate and promotional spend efficiency
  • Build and own discount budgeting capability — track, model, and communicate promotional spend and ROI
  • Use financial modeling to recommend promotional changes and evaluate their conversion and margin impact
  • Manage and develop one direct report, coaching them on analytical skills, business acumen, and stakeholder communication

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in growth, ecommerce, promotions, pricing, or a related analytical function — with a track record of owning experimentation and using data to drive business decisions
  • backgrounds in growth product management, lifecycle marketing, or pricing strategy are all strong fits.
  • Strong analytical background — you’re proficient with SQL and can independently design, analyze, and draw conclusions from A/B tests without relying on a data team
  • Experience with promotional or marketing performance analysis, including financial modeling and conversion analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop talent
  • Clear, structured communicator who can translate analytical findings into business recommendations
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and building structure in areas that are still maturing

Nice to have

  • Experience with discount budgeting, promotional P&L, or financial planning
  • Familiarity with product pricing strategy or distribution channel management
  • Background in direct-to-consumer or subscription businesses
  • Experience working alongside or embedded with Data Science teams on experiment design
  • Strong understanding of ML models and AI decisioning

What we offer

  • A mission- and values-driven culture and a safe, inclusive environment where you can build, grow and thrive
  • A comprehensive total rewards package that supports your wellness and provides security for SimpliSafers and their families
  • Free SimpliSafe system and professional monitoring for your home
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that bring people together, give opportunities to network, mentor and develop, and advocate for change
