Job Description

This newly-created role will own the grants accounting function for a globally recognized, complex and diverse nonprofit organization. The role takes on a Mgr/SrMgt level of responsibility, being the grants accounting expert in the org. Great visibility and opportunity.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the grants accounting function for the organization
  • Focus on state and private grants (minimal federal funding)
  • Tracking revenue and compliance
  • Reporting and analysis for successful financial strategy
  • Own the actual hands-on accounting for the grants/revenue/ASC606 and ASC958/forecasts
  • Build out the function and implement best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grants accounting ASC 606 & 958
  • Experience with a dedicated grants system - Workday Grants Management module
  • CPA and public accounting is a huge plus
  • Excellent communication skills required
