Capital One Auto is looking for an experienced Group Creative Director to help direct the strategy, development, innovation, execution, and production of creative assets across the consumer's auto buying journey. You'll build partnerships across the organization to enable your teams to develop and execute world-class, effective creative strategies for a range of social media, experiential, and digital channels, including email, web, direct mail, display, and video. You'll use your deep marketing & creative knowledge to influence and shape the direction of breakthrough creative that drives results and makes the Capital One Brand easy to remember and easy to choose.
Job Responsibility
Enable creative leaders and teams to do their best work
Lead and inspire the team in the initial strategy development of insight-driven creative
Review and approve new creative proposals
Manage creative talent (Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Copywriters) including a mix of full-time associates, contractors, and agencies
Empower and inspire full-time associates through coaching and help them develop in their careers
Build and maintain relationships with a network of partner groups (business, process, legal, governance, etc.)
Work with our internal teams, content creators, and agencies to define, guide, craft content creation on key platforms such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok and more
Partner with and influence marketing and internal business leaders to understand consumer needs
Use expert knowledge of advertising and marketing trends and translate business intent into creative strategies
Understand the intended audience
interpret market research and test results
Consistently evaluate the industry and beyond to ensure the delivery of leading edge, relevant and impactful brand elements
Keep the creative team ahead of the curve and develop emerging creative talent and leaders
Anticipate the future needs of the brand and proactively evolve our look and feel
Open the door for new business and partnerships for both your team and the department
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience leading creative teams
Nice to have
Creative portfolio that includes produced work for large, integrated marketing campaigns
6+ years of experience as a Creative Director
6+ years of experience directly managing a creative team
2+ years experience at a large in-house creative team
2+ years experience working with a Fortune 100 brand
Direct experience across any or all of the major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.)
