Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr Manager - Cloud and Systems to lead critical infrastructure and cloud capabilities for a growing organization in New York, New York. This Contract to Permanent position will oversee teams supporting cloud environments, enterprise data platforms, on-premises systems, and AI-related technology initiatives while ensuring strong alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate brings both strategic leadership and hands-on technical depth to guide platform direction, improve service performance, and build a high-accountability engineering culture.

Job Responsibility

  • Guide multiple technical teams across cloud services, enterprise data environments, infrastructure operations, and AI-focused platform support by setting clear goals and execution priorities
  • Provide senior-level leadership for Azure ecosystems, data platforms, servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and related business technology services
  • Define architectural direction, governance standards, and phased technology roadmaps that support operational reliability and long-term platform sustainability
  • Develop managers, engineers, and technical leads through coaching, mentorship, and performance leadership that strengthens team capability and engagement
  • Establish clear ownership for project delivery, platform stability, service quality, and outcomes that support broader business objectives
  • Act as the primary escalation resource for high-impact technical issues, cross-functional challenges, and strategic decision-making needs

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise systems teams in a senior management or comparable leadership role
  • Strong background with AWS technologies, including Amazon EC2 and Auto Scaling, in enterprise production environments
  • Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools to improve configuration management and operational consistency
  • Demonstrated understanding of cloud platforms, on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networking concepts
  • Ability to set technical direction, evaluate architecture decisions, and balance strategic planning with operational execution
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams, mentoring technical leaders, and creating accountability across service delivery
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business priorities
