The role is based at the Ontario corporate office. The ideal candidate currently resides in Southern California. This position is responsible for supporting the Corporate Logistics Team with budget expense and forecast analysis, What-if scenarios, transportation network analytics, development and evaluation of ad hoc requests, data gathering regarding the overall operation of Logistics across the company. Support extends to the manufacturing plants, accounting, FP&A, inventory control, customer service and FSQA.
Job Responsibility
Develop and evaluate alternative solutions to logistical issues to drive system-wide efficiency and cost savings
Ability to understand, evaluate, re-design if necessary and prioritize our Distribution System’s components and set-up
Conduct what-if scenarios, network analytics, and budget expense analysis to inform supply chain strategy
Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and communicate requirements with internal IT department and external teams as necessary
Lead logistics systems related projects and work alongside IT for testing and project completion
Conduct training sessions for system users on existing processes and updates as required
Strong ability to parse large datasets, accounting files, execute cost-benefit analysis, and map end-to-end operational processes
Ability to draw and analyze end-to-end processes and search for efficiencies within the Department
Assist with month-end closing
Produce reports for different aspects of Logistics for analysis related to Transportation, Warehousing and Plants
Effectively communicate information to all 3 PL’s verbally, via e-mail and occasionally via telephone
Develop great collaborative relationships at all levels within the AFNA team environment, communicating as needed to maximize individual and team performance
Work closely with and perform additional tasks as delegated by the Sr. Director of Logistics and business needs
Researching supply chain and accounting issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them
Monitor actual logistics financial results against forecasts, identifying root causes for discrepancies and measuring forecast accuracy on a bi-monthly basis
Requirements
BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Logistics or Operations Management
Accountable, responsible, career-oriented adult with sense of urgency
Ability to define problems, evaluate and find solutions based on collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions with financial acumen
5+ years’ experience and knowledge working with Accounting, Logistics, Distribution and Financials
Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables and V-lookup amongst other advanced functions)
Knowledge of JDE and Power BI (OTM a plus)
Ability to navigate through specific web pages and retrieve reports to be handled in Excel
Detail oriented and self-starter
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to adapt to changes in work environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high pace environment and deadline type setting
