Job Responsibility

  • Prepare legal documents requiring exercise of independent judgment for substance and terms
  • Engage in contract negotiations to support attorneys and business clients
  • Draft contracts, review redlines and prepare risk analyses
  • Manage templates, playbooks, and other legal resources
  • Manage use of contract and legal resource management tools
  • Perform complex legal research, analyze data, and/or evaluate risk using sound judgment
  • Demonstrate independence when weighing risk with business or litigation / regulatory goals in assigned areas, as well as creating short and long-term goals to minimize company risk
  • Take the lead on substantive regulatory filings and/or contract workstreams
  • Take the lead in preparing guidance for and training employees on complex legal issues

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior support role working in a legal office
  • A high degree of maturity, professionalism, and discretion, including the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, along with excellent judgment
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a sense of urgency and pride in getting things accomplished
  • A collaborative team player willing to take on a wide range of tasks to support the team with strong interpersonal skills, who is comfortable working with a variety of professional styles and personalities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite and comfort using various digital tools and emerging technologies
