The Sr. Learning Technology & Governance Specialist is responsible for bridging learning experience design, commercial enablement, and technology. This role supports the commercial organization in adopting and effectively using learning technologies while establishing a scalable content governance framework across the learning ecosystem.
Job Responsibility:
Own, manage, and optimize learning technologies across the commercial learning ecosystem, serving as the primary point of accountability and systems administrator for learning and enablement platforms
Lead vendor partnerships for assigned platforms by managing relationships, conducting regular business reviews, aligning enhancements and roadmaps, and ensuring performance expectations are met in partnership with IT, Procurement, and Compliance
Manage system enhancements and releases by gathering requirements, coordinating testing, and partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to support adoption and scalability
Operationalize content governance for commercial learning assets by implementing standards, processes, and workflows in alignment with enterprise compliance and governance requirements
Implement and maintain governance workflows that enable content organization, version control, discoverability, aligned review cadences, and audit readiness across learning technologies
Establish and maintain content ownership and accountability models for learning and enablement assets, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance expectations
Partner cross-functionally with Learning Experience Design, IT, Compliance, Legal, and Commercial stakeholders to ensure learning technologies and content meet regulatory, business, and learner needs
Stay current on emerging learning technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating relevance and informing recommendations for future enhancements within enterprise standards
Apply advanced stakeholder management and influence skills to partner effectively across Learning Experience Design, IT, Compliance, Legal, Commercial, and vendor organizations
Exercise excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts, governance standards, and system impacts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences
Display strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple platforms, vendors, and initiatives simultaneously in a regulated environment

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Educational Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
6+ years of professional experience in learning technology, learning operations, enablement operations, or a related function
Demonstrated ability to administer and optimize learning or enablement platforms, including system configuration, enhancements, user support, and content governance workflows
Advanced proficiency in administering and optimizing learning and enablement technologies, including platform configuration, enhancements, integrations, and reporting
Strong digital fluency with enterprise collaboration and productivity tools, including effective use of cloud-based platforms, communication tools, and secure content-sharing environments
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint, with the ability to create documentation, track workflows, and develop stakeholder-ready materials
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation

Nice to have:
Experience supporting learning or enablement technologies within a regulated industry (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, medical devices)
Experience managing or partnering with enterprise technology vendors, including participation in roadmap discussions, enhancements, and business reviews
Familiarity with content governance, digital asset management, or workflow-based review processes in a compliance-driven environment
Exposure to learning experience design (LXD) principles and modern digital learning ecosystems
