We are looking for an experienced Sr. Lead Litigation Paralegal to guide a litigation support team while independently handling complex personal injury matters in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is well suited for an experienced paralegal who combines strong case management skills with the ability to coach staff, maintain quality standards, and keep deadlines on track. The role offers a structured compensation and benefits package, paid overtime for hours worked beyond 40, and a hybrid schedule following an initial onsite onboarding period.
Job Responsibility
Direct and support a team of 6–8 paralegals, providing day-to-day guidance, feedback, and workload oversight
Manage an active litigation caseload from file development through trial preparation, ensuring matters progress efficiently and accurately
Review team output for completeness, compliance, and quality while reinforcing consistent legal support practices
Coordinate case deadlines, filings, discovery, and document organization to keep litigation matters moving forward
Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, case materials, witness information, and other supporting documentation
Partner with operations and legal leadership to improve team performance, address workflow challenges, and maintain service standards
Mentor paralegal staff through training, coaching, and practical problem-solving related to litigation procedures and case activity
Track priorities across both individual and team assignments to balance leadership duties with personal case responsibilities
Requirements
At least 5 years of paralegal experience, including substantial exposure to civil litigation matters
Prior experience leading, supervising, or mentoring legal support staff in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to oversee 6–8 team members while maintaining an individual caseload
Strong background in personal injury litigation, including plaintiff-side case support and trial preparation
Solid understanding of litigation processes, deadlines, document management, and case coordination
Proven employment stability and a track record of dependable performance in legal support roles
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills in a fast-paced practice setting
