3dB Labs is a growing Defense Contractor focusing on Digital Signal Processing Software and Hardware with a diverse customer base. We are looking for Senior Lab Technician to join our production team as we grow and scale our capabilities. We are looking for an organized and hands-on Sr. Lab Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of labs used for product development and testing. The role focuses on lab infrastructure, test station setup, equipment calibration, and day-to-day technical support for engineering teams. The Sr. Lab Technician will work alongside the team to help us build out and fulfill our ongoing product needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain lab environments, including benches, racks, and test stations
  • Operate and maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, power supplies, thermal chambers, and other specialized equipment
  • Support engineers during development, validation, and debug activities
  • Perform basic hand soldering of electrical components, and cable construction
  • Ensure proper calibration, certification, and maintenance of lab equipment
  • Manage lab inventory, including cables, connectors, antennas, fixtures, electrical components, PC hardware, consumables, etc.
  • Maintain lab documentation, test procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment logs
  • Troubleshoot lab hardware, test setups, and measurement inconsistencies
  • Enforce lab safety, ESD coordination and compliance, and best practices
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment repair, upgrades, and calibration services

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or similar
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Practical understanding of RF fundamentals and measurement techniques
  • Hands-on experience working and maintaining an electronics lab environment
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment including DMMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Capable of working independently and training jr. team members
  • Technical writing skills a plus
  • 5-10 years experience
  • US citizenship is required for all of our positions
