Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines
Carry out simple site maintenance tasks
Carry out standard installation activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others
Carry out relatively simple testing and quality assurance tasks
Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate Degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent apprenticeship preferred
3+ years as a Maintenance I&E Technician in a chemical plant or refinery or industrial settings (3-5 years preferred)
Experience with DCS/SIS systems
NFPA 70 knowledge a plus
Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with I&E hand tools, meters, and instrument calibration equipment
Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, P&IDs, and wiring schematics
Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
Ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
Physically able to work outdoors year-round, around heavy equipment, in confined spaces, at heights (up to 200 ft), and lift up to 50 lbs
