Job Description

Build and maintain academic and research computing environments. Provide support to the University’s computing environment through technical knowledge of systems and the development of applications to support the secure and compliant operations of servers, storage, networking, and virtual environments. Provide support for the university research computing environments and the software, hardware, and infrastructure associated with research endeavors at the University. Build, configure and support HPC systems, on-prem clusters, and cloud environments (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Nutanix), providing support to researchers and ensuring optimal performance and job scheduling. Design, develop, and automate processes for efficient use in research, academic, and enterprise settings, ensuring compliance with data sensitivity standards. Implement security measures and manage budgets for cloud resources, optimizing resource usage, and minimizing costs. Onboard and assist students and researchers in utilizing virtual and physical environments effectively, providing training and documentation. Work from home is permitted.
