We are looking for an experienced Sr. HR Generalist to support core human resources operations in Perris, California. This Long-term Contract position will focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits coordination, employee records management, and day-to-day HR administration. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of HR systems, employee support processes, and compliance-driven documentation while working effectively across multiple priorities.
Job Responsibility
Manage full-cycle recruiting support by preparing job postings, coordinating advertising efforts, responding to candidate inquiries, and guiding applicants through the hiring process
Review applications to evaluate baseline qualifications, maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system, and help move selected individuals through the selection process
Coordinate pre-employment activities such as interview scheduling, testing logistics, background verification, reference checks, medical screening appointments, and offer documentation
Facilitate onboarding by preparing new employee materials, entering employee data into HR systems, and leading orientation activities to ensure a smooth start for incoming staff
Administer employee benefit programs by assisting with enrollments, changes, vendor communications, invoice review, and premium reconciliation across available plans
Process employee status changes, separations, and leave-related documentation while ensuring required notices and records are completed accurately and on time
Maintain confidential personnel, medical, and employment files, and verify the accuracy of HR and payroll-related transactions within integrated systems such as HRIS and Workday HCM
Provide general HR operational support through reporting, survey participation, data compilation, and administrative backup for the broader department as needed
Support HRIS and payroll interface activities, including setup coordination, validation, and testing tied to employee data processing and system accuracy
Requirements
5+ years of experience in human resources with a strong background in generalist-level support
Hands-on experience with employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, terminations, and leave request processing
Proficiency working in HRIS platforms, including Workday HCM, with the ability to maintain accurate employee and candidate data
Experience supporting recruiting activities such as internet sourcing, applicant screening, interview coordination, and pre-employment checks
Knowledge of HR administrative practices, confidential recordkeeping, and documentation standards in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder communications effectively
Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with candidates, employees, managers, and external partners
