The Senior Plant Human Resources Generalist is responsible for partnering with management, various departments, and team members to ensure successful planning, development, deployment, and evaluation of HR activities and initiatives. Duties may include providing general human resources support to team members, working closely with various HR teams, and applying HR insight as needed to assist internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Provides day-to-day business HR partnership and consultation for assigned functional team
Participates in the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, practices, and procedures
Assists in driving business solutions through ad hoc reporting and analysis of HR statistics/data
Leads and supports Human Resource programs including but not limited to employment/unemployment, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance
Periodically audits and ensures accurate recordkeeping of HR systems and processes
Conducts, assists, records, and follows-up with employee investigation matters and the administration of Disability and Workers Compensation claims
Partners and collaborates on projects/programs with cross-functional HR peers, centers of excellence (COE), and business support functions
Ensures and supports HR compliance with local and statutory laws and regulations
Collaborates with hiring teams on hiring goals, future talent pipelining, organizational development, and the administrative processing of job requisitions
Provides support and training for team members, supervisors, and managers
Updates and manages team member information/bulletin boards
Serves as the HR representative on assigned projects, committees, and community events
May supervise or oversee additional HR team members as needed
Leads HR initiatives, champions change, and grows team member engagement to create a culture aligned with our values
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in human resources required
Prior work experience ensuring and supporting HR compliance with local and statutory laws and regulations required
Experience with conducting workplace investigations and resolution of issues required
Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills required
Computer proficiency with software systems including but not limited to Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and/or other web-based applications required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills required
Nice to have:
Advanced degree or certification specific to human resources
Prior work experience working with and/or optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM), timekeeping, payroll, or related systems
Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment
