Job Description:

Conducts studies and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards and regulations, and industrial hygiene. Investigates accidents and promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs. Provides safety performance measures. Determines root cause analyses. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, and vision of the organization.   • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Safety Related Field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Five (5) or more years’ Experience in refining or manufacturing (Preferred)
  • ASP, CSP, OHST, CSHO Certification (Preferred)

  • Provides regulatory interpretation to health and safety staffs on application of rules, regulations, and industry practices
  • Leads development and implementation of safety and health standards and initiatives
  • Collaborates with field health and safety staffs to define standards, procedures, and processes to insure standardization across all assigned locations
  • Assists with accident/incident investigation and root cause analysis as necessary
  • Participates in location audits for compliance assurance and safety performance assessment
  • Occasionally within shift (1-33%): Weight lifted / force exerted up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to frequently climb ladders and/or stairs up to with elevations up to 150ft.
