Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. GL Accountant to join our team in Los Altos, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with strong expertise in general ledger accounting and financial reconciliation processes. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform month-end close procedures, including preparing accruals, prepaids, and deferred entries
  • Create and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial accounts
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accounts are properly classified and reconciled
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to support accurate cash flow reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting inquiries and resolve issues
  • Provide support in preparing financial reports and documentation for audits and reviews
  • Maintain adherence to accounting standards and company policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with high accuracy
  • Strong skills in account and balance sheet reconciliation
