Job Responsibility:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Equipment in assigned area
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and systems, using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools
Perform equipment changeover activities and driving equipment efficiencies (Up-Time OEE) during production runs
Highly proficient creating and searching Maximo Work Orders, Electrical/pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, PLC and Servo Communications/Connection
Work with Project Engineers for new equipment installation and upgrades
Continue to learn complex equipment by studying equipment manuals, conducting internet research, and applying internal knowledge to keep abreast of new technologies, processes and/or equipment
Work within the Maintenance group to assist in increasing technical knowledge and technical capabilities of less experienced technicians
Assist in the development of department training materials and improvements in the training program
Work in a safe manner always, and is trained in Arc Flash, Lock Out Tag Out, Basic Electrical Safety, Ladder Safety, and other plant programs
Strict adherence to environmental health and safety (EHS) and manufacturing SOP, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and quality products are always produced
Work with EHS to ensure compliance with global requirements
Participate in department and site continuous improvement projects
All other tasks assigned as required to support plant production
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school training is preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance & repair and/ or at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
Strong Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maximo preferred
Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley). SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred. Ability to connect to PLC, Servo and Robotic systems using Laptop Computer and Pendants
Experience with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems
Candidate must be capable of reading and working with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams
Working knowledge of photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, temperature controllers, inkjet printers, and vision systems (Systech experience preferred)
Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing/filling and packaging equipment, including pick-and-place systems, conveyors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, continuous inkjet printing systems
Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations. Good procedural writing skills
Good computer skills (Microsoft Windows based software, email, Microsoft Office Suite, internet sites, and PDFs)
Electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-Phase, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, servo motors, low voltage systems
This position involves working around moving equipment
Must be able to work in Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, isolation mask, gown, hood, boots or shoe covers, face shield, insulated gloves and disposable gloves
Ability to individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
Visual Acuity 20/20 Near Vision with or without corrective vision required
