Job Responsibility:
Perform and verify complex visual inspections and advanced functionality tests on parts, assemblies, and completed products
Ensure all parts, components, and sub-assemblies meet print requirements using the latest revision and advanced metrology tools
Analyze returned products, determine root cause of failure, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Provide technical direction to line support workers to resolve material non-conformances
Assist engineers and technicians in evaluating trends, recurring defects, and process improvement opportunities
Serve as a subject-matter expert for the inspection team, providing on-the-job training and coaching
Assist in coordinating daily inspection of workload and prioritizing tasks
Lead by example in maintaining high standards for accuracy, documentation, and quality processes
Leads and participates in cross-training initiatives to build team capability and ensure coverage across all Quality functions
Maintain accurate and audit-ready inspection documentation
Prepare and review NMCRs, NCRs, and other quality records
Provide detailed quality feedback to management, engineers, and production teams
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
Collaborate with production teams to maintain proper inventory levels and prevent downtime
Deliver presentations to visitors, auditors, and leadership
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required
Associate degree preferred
3+ years of technical or inspection experience
Demonstrated ability to perform advanced inspection tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Knowledge of metrology tools
GD&T preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to mentor and provide guidance to inspectors
Strong communication and independent work capability
Flexibility to support 1st or 2nd shift
