T-Mobile is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Field Technician to support and strengthen our network operations in the State of Montana that will be responsible for sites within areas east of Butte, MT and north of Billings, MT. This role serves as a technical leader in the field — driving network performance, leading outage resolution efforts, and mentoring the next generation of technicians in both technical expertise and operational excellence. The Sr. Field Technician provides advanced support across radio access networks, backhaul, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services, ensuring our network remains resilient and customer-ready. Success in this role is defined by effective project execution, rapid technical problem-solving, continuous process improvement, and the development of a high-performing field team. Job Responsibility:
Provide technical direction and support to improve network performance and resolve outages within and beyond the immediate team
Lead key projects and initiatives, guiding junior technicians and reporting progress and challenges effectively
Identify and develop process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities, recommending implementation to management
Create training materials and facilitate training sessions to maintain and enhance team technical skills and knowledge
Also responsible for other duties/projects assigned by business management as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
Acceptable areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or related field (Preferred)
4-7 years - Experience in Field operations and maintenance, with a proven track of success
4-7 years - Wireless telecommunications or other related experience
Radio Frequency Engineering (Required)
Nokia RAN equipment and Ceragon Microwave Equipment experience (Required)
Electronics (Required)
Expert operational knowledge and theory of all interconnecting circuits to include but not limited to RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio and AC-DC power systems, and AI
Problem Solving / Troubleshooting - Solves problems using creativity and innovation. (Required)
Computer Fluency with ability to use programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Required)
