Sr. Epic Beacon and Genomics Application Analyst Application Analyst serves as a vital link between clinical operations, research, and information technology, ensuring that Epic’s Oncology and Genomics applications function seamlessly across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of oncology workflows, research protocols, and genomic data integration, along with the technical expertise to translate operational needs into system functionality. By bridging the gap between clinical practice and technology, this analyst helps maintain system integrity, drive automation, and enhance the overall user experience for caregivers and researchers alike. A significant portion of the analyst’s day involves resolving break-fix issues, performing system maintenance, and supporting integrations with third-party oncology and research applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing and validating workflows, applying Epic quarterly updates, and collaborating with Epic technical support to ensure that systems supporting oncology and genomics operate efficiently and accurately. This also includes support for workflows that complement research, clinical trials, and treatment planning. Most coordination and follow-up occur through structured communication channels such as email, Teams chat, and scheduled meetings to ensure timely updates and collaboration. The Epic Oncology and Genomics Analysts also work closely with cross-functional teams across Oncology, Research, Pharmacy (Willow), and Revenue Cycle, ensuring alignment and optimization across the entire continuum of care
Job Responsibility:
Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests and maintains Clinical/EHR software applications
Interfaces with user departments to anticipate and resolve problems, develops and modifies procedures to solve data processing problems and prepares detailed specifications from which programs are written
Coordinates implementation, analysis and testing, maintenance and upgrades, application design, and debugging of complex workflows with multiple modules
Utilize deep understanding of the technical components of all modules to maintain system integrity
Solves complex technical problems in own discipline
Works independently with minimal guidance
May lead small projects with limited scope/risks or workstreams within a broader project
May also have accountability for on-going processes, programs or activities
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum 5 years of related experience
Certified - EPIC Required
Knowledge of clinical system applications
3-5 years of OnCore system administration and calendar build experience
3-5 years of Epic build experience
Epic Certifications in Research Clinical, Research Billing, EpicCare Ambulatory, Beacon preferred, and Genomics
Genomics and Oncology experience
OnCore Certification
Experience with Oncore 3rd Party Application
Nice to have:
