Sr. Epic Ambulatory Application Analyst, On-site, Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center. Epic Ambulatory application analysts act as a vital link between operations and information technology, ensuring that Epic functions seamlessly. This role demands an understanding of healthcare processes and technical systems. Analysts must translate operational needs into system functionality. By doing so, they help maintain system integrity, promote automation and efficiency, and improve user experience across the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a vital link between operations and information technology, ensuring that Epic functions seamlessly
Translate operational needs into system functionality
Help maintain system integrity, promote automation and efficiency, and improve user experience
Resolve break-fix issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, monitor and troubleshoot error logs related to interfaces
Troubleshoot issues, apply Epic quarterly updates, work with Epic technical support, and validate workflows
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Informatics, other application teams and project managers
Lead meetings with operational leaders to clarify requirements and understand pain points
Contact end-users to clarify requests to implement optimizations and project requests
Mentor junior analysts and ensure operational best practices
Perform quality assurance and integrated testing of optimization and project requests
Coordinate projects across applications and develops application specific enhancements and reports
Provide 24/7 support for applications within accountability
Lead complex application initiatives, including project management responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in the development, implementation and support of highly complex, enterprise wide, cross functional applications, integrated applications and technical projects
Analyze and translate workflow and documentation requirements for clinical and/or business processes into efficient and effective application systems solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
1-2 years Project Management Experience Required
Minimum 2 years of related experience Required
Certified - EPIC Required
Nice to have:
Master's Degree
Knowledge of clinical system applications
Experience with Epic Ambulatory and MyChart, including build configuration and implementation
Ability to analyze and translate clinical and/or business workflows and documentation requirements into efficient, effective application solutions
Strong experience using Microsoft Visio for workflow documentation and implementation planning
Hybrid background in both clinical and technical domains
Epic Ambulatory certification
MyEpic MyChart certification
Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) certification
