The manufacturing engineer ensures the end product meets customer needs. This position is responsible for initiating and implementing technical improvements, preventing and resolving technical problems, and assessing the capabilities of the processes. The manufacturing engineer will provide all aspects of technical leadership in the improvement of manufacturing processes, manufacturing equipment efficiencies, and product quality.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis
Proven results in driving product and process improvement in the manufacturing environment
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to engage and care for others, starting with safety
Strong technical acumen
Demonstrated success utilizing continuous improvement tools and data systems to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs
Demonstrated ability to assess performance gaps and coach for results
Ability to make decisions quickly and adapt to unplanned situations
Ability to work well as part of a team and within a matrixed organization
Strong planning, resourcing, and delegation skills
Ability to achieve results quickly, both individually and through teams
Nice to have:
5 years’ experience in continuous manufacturing preferred
Leadership experience in a matrix environment
Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing experience
