We are currently looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Malta. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and quality standards. You will drive process engineering activities across production areas, helping to deliver products to customers on time while improving quality, yield, and overall performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will support continuous improvement initiatives and help create a reliable, high-performing manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility
Perform routine and non-routine calibration and maintenance activities for analytical laboratory instruments in accordance with approved procedures and schedules
Plan, schedule, and manage calibration and maintenance activities performed by external service providers or equipment manufacturers, including supplier-calibrated instruments
Review service reports and calibration certificates to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory expectations
Provide technical support in the event of instrument malfunctions or failures, including troubleshooting, root cause identification, and coordination with equipment manufacturers or service providers to resolve issues
Collaborate closely with Quality team members to ensure calibration and maintenance activities are aligned with quality system requirements, including data integrity, documentation standards, and change management processes
Ensure adherence to applicable Quality Systems, GLP principles, and regulatory requirements
actively participate in audit preparation, inspections, and responses to audit findings related to calibration and maintenance activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field)
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to analyze statistical and process data and translate insights into actionable improvements
Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Lean principles)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a regulated environment and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and resourceful mindset
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
