The Sr Electrician will perform and/or direct various Electrical installations and preventive maintenance and repairs at a client’s site. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within all JLL and client standards and guidelines
Job Responsibility:
Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment
boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters
pumps, valves, piping and filters
other mechanical and electrical equipment
Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment
Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
Assist with the installation and repair plumbing/piping/tubing
wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed)
Run conduit
pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc
Install and rebuild pumps and motors
Install and rebuild air compressors, and heat exchangers
Replace bearings in all types of motors
replace seals on pumps
install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Maintains a clean and safe workplace
Assist team members with troubleshooting and escalating issues
Train new team members
Any and all other duties and tasks assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma, state equivalent, or GED equivalent
Completion of Trade School/Vocational Schooling preferred
5+ years of relevant experience, preferred
Electrical License
Strong communication and organization skills
Team player-works well with others
Able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs
Physically able to operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle
Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
Able to work on a ladder up to 28’
Able to work on roofs of buildings – able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time
