This role requires a high-acuity strategic and operational finance leader with responsibility for accelerating the performance of a global, technology-driven, clinically essential medical devices division of Baxter. This is a capital equipment, connected devices, digital platforms, and cloud-based workflow solutions business, requiring mastery of device economics, software-enabled recurring revenue, and enterprise data systems. The incumbent will provide broad commercial finance leadership driving strategy, margin expansion, cost & capital efficiency, portfolio optimization, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility
Shape FLC's multi-year strategy across monitoring, connectivity, analytics, and workflow solutions
Understand procedure drivers and consolidate market models
Partner with the division president and cross-functional leaders to pressure-test strategic assumptions
Drive portfolio strategy to grow high-value modalities and rationalize underperforming areas
Develop market, competitive, and multi scenario financial models
Steward full P&L encompassing top-line growth, margin management, and financial planning cycles
Strengthen commercial execution in long-cycle capital equipment environments
Optimize reimbursement frameworks, pricing architecture, discounting, and tender economics
Benchmark against major competitors
Financial modeling for organic and inorganic investments
Improve scalability, standardization, and lifecycle economics
Deliver gross-margin expansion through COGS reduction, footprint optimization, and supply-chain improvements
Manage sales, pricing, margin, credit management, and productivity funnels
Support multi-year capital heavy purchase cycles
Drive working capital performance
Serve as primary strategic advisor to FLC President and Baxter CFO
Establish world-class forecasting, scenario planning, and KPI dashboards
Build advanced driver-based forecasting models
Manage financial mix, pricing, and margin performance
Reconcile financial systems with commercial operations
Influence high complexity cross-functional initiatives
Ensure robust controls across regulated device manufacturing and cybersecurity-sensitive platforms
Strengthen risk programs
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls
Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing talent/teams
Champion a culture of trust, respect, accountability, and empowerment
Build and lead a global finance team
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
20+ years of experience in strategic finance and/or commercial role required
General knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting
Deep experience with capital equipment + consumables + software business models
Experience in connected-device/cloud-integrated ecosystems and cybersecurity-impacted product lines
Prior senior finance leadership roles in medical devices, healthcare technology, or digital health are an asset
Demonstrated turnaround, restructuring, or portfolio-repositioning experience
Exceptional business acumen and judgment
Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Proven ability to lead multiple, competing priorities
Track record of decisive leadership
Strong executive presence with ability to influence/drive consensus cross-functionally
Skilled at assembling and leading both direct as well as cross-functional teams as required
Nice to have
Professional certification such as CPA
Public accounting or related large public company experience
Knowledge of acquisition accounting
Experience with connected-device/cloud-integrated ecosystems and cybersecurity-impacted product lines
