POSITION SUMMARY: This role requires a high-acuity strategic and operational finance leader with responsibility for accelerating the performance of a global, technology‑driven, clinically essential medical devices division of Baxter. This is a capital equipment, connected devices, digital platforms, and cloud‑based workflow solutions business, requiring mastery of device economics, software‑enabled recurring revenue, and enterprise data systems. The incumbent will provide broad commercial finance leadership driving strategy, margin expansion, cost & capital efficiency, portfolio optimization, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 20+ years of experience in strategic finance and/or commercial role required
  • General knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting
  • Deep experience with capital equipment + consumables + software business models
  • Experience in connected‑device/cloud‑integrated ecosystems and cybersecurity‑impacted product lines
  • Prior senior finance leadership roles in medical devices, healthcare technology, or digital health are an asset
  • Demonstrated turnaround, restructuring, or portfolio‑repositioning experience
  • Exceptional business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environments
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Track record of decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon best course of action and drive implementation of that decision
  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence/drive consensus cross‑functionally and with diverse stakeholders
  • Skilled at assembling and managing both direct as well as cross-functional teams as required
