Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for contributing to application systems analysis and programming activities. The role involves responsibilities such as designing data models, optimizing SQL performance, and evaluating data processing tools.

Job Responsibility:

Participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
Contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities

Requirements:

Expert level knowledge in MS SQL Server and ETL processes
Development of ETL processes using SQL Server, Stored Procs, SSIS
Data Modelling for dimensional/reporting, data warehousing, and transactional use cases
Performance optimizations on SQL Server, SQL tuning, and investigation of bottlenecks
Evaluation of tools and technologies for data processing
Ability to translate architecture and requirements to design and code using SQL
Design logical and physical data models for performance
Expertise in SQL features such as Indexes, Partitioning, Bulk loads, DB configuration, AlwaysOn, Security/Roles
Scale and optimize performance via schema design, query tuning, and index creation

Nice to have:

Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS and Tableau
Hands-on experience with Python scripting
